This one was in our Netflix "List" but neither of us could remember adding it. Does anyone recall it being discussed here?

It was okay. Had one of those unsatisfying endings IMO.

Watched it a while back...thought it was decent. Guy was a little too moody.

Yes, that's what Wikipedia said in the plot summary.

I've read the reviews that said this one isn't that great either. I just wanted to see an action movie.

John Wick

The hype might've been a liiiittle too big from word of mouth, but I still really loved this. Just straight up revenge action destruction. It's like a white Raid Redemption with a slightly larger scope and more shooty than punchy. Some fun creative fighting and murderporn.

I really loved the world they created in this. The mob/hitman syndicate, along with the clubs and and hotels and secret codes. And I loved those fuckin gold coins, just fun creative stuff.

4 / 5

Wick is an example of a short list of very good action flicks that pay attention to detail, and do not over stylize things. (Basically removing anything Michael Bay would have done if he were given the controls)

Haywire with Gina Carano and Payback with Mel Gibson are a couple others that come to mind.

London Has Fallen was fucking great! A lot of action and suspense. The car chases were great, Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart and Morgan Freeman were awesome. I wish Angela Bassett had had a bigger role. I'd definitely see it again.

Since I'm fucking sick and don't feel like doing anything, I watched Chef today. I liked it. Simple movie. Decent story. Happy ending.

Similar feelings here....good flick. Very, very corny with the feel that Twitter gave them the budget, but kind of a feel-good.

You should like Olympus then. It is stupid, but I think has some good action in it (and it's much more violent than you'd think) Was London that way, or did they PG-13 it?

It was rated R, pretty bloody, lots of terrorists being stabbed and lots of gunfights.

Re-watched "The Adventures of Baron Muchausen". My god what an underappreciated movie. Didn't really understand it the first few times I watched it but was amazed each time. Still don't quite understand it, but even more amazed.

I remember loving that movie, haven't seen it in years. I guess need to re-visit (and I never understood it either :) )
