It's a live event and people want to see who wins the big awards. They know that, so they drag out the show to sell extra commercials.

I don't watch for the show, I watch to see the results as they happen. DVRing it would defeat the purpose. But I also don't complain about the length of it, it's always like this so who cares. We know it going in.

I think they should make the In Memoriam segment a special. Everyone always gets pissy that certain people weren't included. A special would give enough time for everyone who died to be listed & it could go more in depth on who they were.
