I think she just likes the kid's voice. She did laugh at the "no...they're all dead" bit.

I haven't seen the film yet, but I feel like this is treading dangerously close to spoiler territory.

It's only 15 minutes long, and there really isn't anything to spoil.

Judging from the descriptions it might spoil my sunny disposition for a minute.

I cry like a little girl at sad movies but I bounce back pretty good.

Look, kid, he doesn't want it.
If you never try anything new, you'll miss out on many of life's great disappointments.

Just saw The Large Short in the theater. Love Christian Bale and Steve Carrel espesh. Is anything being done to prevent this from happening again? I plan on reading the book and further studying up on the issue.

What would have happened if we didn't bail out the banks?

There isn't really anything being done to prevent it and the fact that no one went to jail or was significantly punished means it's probably not a matter of "if it will happen again" but "when will it happen again." On top of that the banks have seen that the government will step in to make sure their benefactors don't suffer much for their mistakes so there's not much incentive not to do it again when you can push the limits, make a shit ton of money then have the taxpayers cover your losses. Imagine if you went the casino and knew that no matter what bets you made there was someone at the end of the night who'd just pay back your losses. You'd probably act wrecklesssly too.

Look how far you've come.

I don't mean in movie watching, but in language choices.
