Out Of Context Drops

"I love nuts"
Bald Bryan's go-to trick. Does anybody find these funny anymore? Maybe once or twice a month, sneak one in here or there, you might produce a chuckle, but these out of context drops happen throughout the show, every fucking day. It's childish, it's crude, hacky. You can see them coming a mile away.
Bald Bryan might be marginally funny if he's one of your douchebag buddies, but as far as big-time radio is concerned he is just not cutting it. And he's not improving, his shit is getting staler every day.
And what the fuck is my problem? Why do I continually bitch about this fucking show and all it's foibles. It's like a fucked-up relationship that you can't seem to get away from. I tune in because I like Adam and he's entertaining, even though there are parts of the show I can hardly stand. It's volatile. BB and Teresa used to be mildly annoying but now they are downright loathesome.

They're played I agree, Anderson sprinkles them in the show whereas Bryan Bonaduce's them all over the show non stop. They're obnoxious and not very funny

I agree with this. A possible solution for this, as mentioned in another thread, have Bryan man the text or email machine as well as the drop machine. This way he will have something to do instead of standing there trying to get in as many drops as possible.

Had never heard Bonaduce used as a verb before. It is quite apt though.

You know my bias but I think Bald B has been bringing the game with his drops lately. All in all the show IMO is doing better this year. Noticeable. My theory = everyone is getting steady action, which balances them out. Ergo, they do a better job.

Couldn't agree more. The infrequency and perfect timing of Anderson's drops was what made them great. They never interrupted the show as Bald Bryan's do.
I suspect Adam wants to tell Bryan to calm down but doesn't have the heart to do so.

I listen to the show every day, and I think Brian doesn't get his due. His job would be so much harder than what people might think. Sometimes his drops come in after a comment before I can even blink. And he has what...1000 drops? They may occasionally interupt Ace's rant, but Ace never seems to stumble so much that he loses his footing quite the way he does when Teresa STOMPS on his great stories. At least Brian knows when to shut the fuck up, which is something Teresa hasn't figured out yet. I need someone to list a handful of "out of context" drops for me before I am convinced that Brian needs to get ass-canned.

I like the drops on Conway's show. There are so few of them, played relatively sparingly, but they work. One "Jesus Christ" does a lot more than whatever carnival of nonsense Bald Bryan has.

I have no problem with Bald Bryan's drops. As for Anderson, I'd hardly say he prefers using them sparringly, but has to due to the radio idiots telling him to use less. Go back to some old Loveline and listen to how many he'd squeeze into even a single call.

bryan did a genius drop-improv this week during the story about israeli holocaust porn when he mashed up the music from schindler's list and the porn music. that shit was seriously, serously funny. too bad teresa totally predictably f'd up the improv moment that was set up and ruined the moment. but bryan was really inspired with that.
i think he f's out some of his drops too, but i still love the guy.

"All gays are inherently broken." - Terry Strasser
That is probably my all time fav just because T gets so upset when it's played.

When was the last time anyone laughed at a Bryan drop? He's been steadily going downhill in wearing out drops quickly and quoting things that aren't even funny. He's pretty terrible, he breaks two general drop guy sins
1) Be funny
2) Don't make it morning zoo, lay off the drops, especially if you're not very funny
Ahhh another cog of the show being shitastic. I can't wait until Jackman breaks out the rifle for this sick dog

meh, any time he does the beginning news segment is great. That's the only reason I can tolerate T. Because Bald Bryan drops that shit.
