Me neither. I would have guessed it was a California thing, but Gina seemed to know about it and she's from Kansas. It's funny that it's still even a thing, teaching kids to know what fork to use and manners seems very out dated.

I always thought of it as a Southern thing--apparently that includes Southern California. I feel like we might have talked about this before.

I'd say though that it's hard to know what other people don't know, especially if there are other people in the conversation who aren't stepping up and saying "what's that?"

i get the idea of the cotillion thing, but it seems kinda unnecessary. i grew up in hick-ville and somehow managed to learn the basics of "manners". yes . . . i'm a hero.

Well the cotillion isn't a manners course. You learn the manners so that you behave properly at the cotillion. That said, of course it's unnecessary. Thing is a tradition carried over from when rich white dudes needed to present their daughters and advertise that they were eligible to be married off. Like a livestock show for teenage girls, crossed with a quinciannera.

A holdover from the good old days when you fucked your cousin to keep the bloodline pure.

I find it weird Adam subjects the boy to this. He totally doesn't feel it's worthy and his kid is crying himself to sleep over it so the point is...to instill a memory of something he can yell at his dad about for the rest of his life? There are times you force a kid to do to better himself, like learn to swim, and there are times that you are jerking yourself off.

Cotillion is where they teach you ballroom dancing and formal etiquette. A more effective form of torture for pre-teen boys has yet to be discovered. My psychological damage is evident to this day.

This seems like a thing where the Carollas are trying to take a cue from Dr. Drew on how to raise kids.

I never heard of him but he was very good. His Seth Rogan impression was spot on, and his improv worked great with Adam. They should replace Koy with him and the show would improve dramatically.

Yeah he was great. It's strange though about impressionists. Many of them act surprised and have to be coaxed into doing their impressions when on a show. It was like this:

"So I hear you can do a great Seth Rogan, Liam Nesson and Vince Vaughn"

[wait]

[wait]

[wait]

"So can you do one for us now?"

What was he expecting? But super good guest overall (and that feature of impressionists seems to be the norm).
