Nope, she said she does it (she had to duck out of the kids' improv show at school to make a subway run one week).

Hey, Has Adam talked about doing stand-up in Vegas on his show? On Tuesday's FCOL Lynette talked about their trip this weekend to Ceaser's palace because Adam is going to do stand-up there. I was just wondering if he's said it's a one-shot deal or a standing gig.

He's talked about seeing Celine Dion, but not his show that I recall. I would be very very surprised if it was a standing gig.

I swear that if you took away the context, you could convince someone that these were two cruise directors discussing how to keep their paying guests happy and entertained. They devote more time to entertaining their kids in one week than my parents and grandparents did in an entire lifetime.

It's a strange, strange, strange world where a mom creates a chart with columns of foodstuffs and the kids can tick off the things they like or dislike. Then they go into a panic when their kids decide they don't want to have this or that delicacy for lunch. Egg salad? Hot lunches?

Not to be a cliche, but I was perfectly happy with peanut butter sandwiches and an apple in a paper bag for five years of high school. And I folded up that paper bag and took it back home to be reused the next day. And for dinner, we ate what my mother prepared. And it was good food.

The way Lynette and Stephanie treat their kids is so bizarre. I've never really heard anything like it, but I guess I'm out of touch with modern parenting.

No, I agree. But maybe it's just rich parents. Even though Stefanie really doesn't seem that rich. They overindulge those kids SO much. I don't see the need to be taking kids all over the place and spending so much all the time. And bowing to their every food request. What annoys me is they occasionally will make comments in passing about children they know who are onlies who are over-indulged...but that's exactly what THEY do with THEIR kids and then complain about consequences: the crying, the pickiness, the demands. I myself have an only child, who's 14 now, and I'm not buying him ipads and taking him to trampoline parks every weekend. Or even asking him what he wants in his lunch. He takes hot lunch twice a week, and I'll pack a lunch 3 times a week and he eats it or not, but you know what, it's never not. He knows I don't give in to whining.

I didn't understand that trampoline park thing at all, although I'll admit I was laughing out loud it was so crazy. Why even go in if it was obvious it was going to be super crowded because there was no parking?

Adam will be at Caesar's July 13th.

He complained about Lynette buying a sarong (pool cover-up) for $125 at the Caesars gift shop. He said she could have gotten one at Target. He didn't buy her a Christmas gift or have the kids get her anything. I remember she was looking at used Louis Vuitton bags online after the holidays (around the time Adam mentioned with Geragos that Norman Pattiz's wife buys $8000 purses) but was afraid to spend money on something like that. He didn't buy her a Mother's Day gift or have the kids get her anything (although Natalia put together a basket with items she found in the house). I would wonder if maybe Prager could get through to him on being a Good Husband but Prager's had 3 wives and I heard him complaining extensively once (yeah, I bought all the downloads of him & Adam) about women and their moods and his wife of 17 years made his life a living hell with her moods, women have no right to inflict their horrible moods on their husbands! (then why the fuck stay together that long? for the kids? you cannot convince couples that unhappy with each other make good parents.)

To be fair, I didn't get Lynette Christmas or Mother's Day gift either.

No kidding. I'd move the playdate to the mall or go to the movies, or flat-out cancel before I'd hang around the snack stand for an hour waiting for the next open session.

I guess not getting Lynette a Mother's Day gift this year is better than giving away the flowers Olga gave her to his own mom because he forgot to buy her anything (he did that last year). That's not only rude to Lynette but also rude to Olga.

Anything you buy in the casino is going to be 4x the price of what it would be at Target, but not everybody wants to spend their time in Vegas going to Target. The time I went to Vegas I didn't bring good shoes for walking and took an Uber to DSW to buy a new pair, rather than buy in the casino, but that's mainly because I wanted a bigger selection to choose from.
