Lol he has another infected eye.
If you never try anything new, you'll miss out on many of life's great disappointments.

The Abella Danger episode was a rare gem in this series...good porn banter, quality off-the-cuff lines by Adam, Drew, and even Maxipada+Halftard, and most importantly, no logically flawed political rants (or any political talk). Like an old Loveline episode.

Yeah, old loveline Adam was back and on point.

Surprised there's still any money left for porn stars.

But the amounts she cited seemed very low.

Of course many of these performers probably have little other skills so they're making a thousand or two on maybe a couple of hours of work to shoot a video.

All you had to do was hear her speak to know she has no other skills.

Had to laugh during a recent Adam and Drew show, where Bruce was on as well. To paraphrase:

Adam: Darn it, I have another eye infection!
Drew: Probably something to do with the no-shower thing?
Adam: As a matter of fact, I TAKE a DAILY shower! But with COLD water, and no soap.
Drew: Actually, you do need hot water to dissolve the dirt and oils on your body and get clean. But I've been taking cold showers myself, because you told me to. I just really hate it. It makes me really uncomfortable, and I haven't been getting used to it.
Adam: GOOD! It's GOOD for you to be miserable!
Bruce: Actually, studies have shown cold showers aren't really that good for you, especially your cardiovascular health.
Adam goes on to ignore two highly educated doctors, to say that now that the weather's getting colder it's going to be super-healthy for him to jump in the cold pool outdoors because that'll be even MORE cold than the cold shower.

That says washing hands and for germs, not washing body for dirt and oils.

Adam takes cold showers because it's the only way he can feel anything.

what about washing your hair with cold instead of hot water?

Might be okay if you're going for the greasy hair look all the time.

#697 "I could have been a great standup comedian but I didn't want to write it down, don't want to repeat myself."

Proof is he wrote great jokes, according to himself, for Jimmy's Oscar hosting.

I think he could have been a great stand up comedian if he had had the discipline to go that route. Especially when he was younger on Loveline and the morning show I remember so many really great comedians being very impressed with how clever he was. I think it's hard for us to judge because we've heard him on a nearly daily basis for so long that we're annoyed by the repetition. Traditional stand ups are very protective of their good material and tend not to burn it in radio/podcast appearances. Also Jimmy said the same thing about Adam's contribution to his Oscar hosting when he was recently on Stern.

Depends on how he defines "great."

If he went to standup instead of podcasting, he could gather a big enough following to make a good living but probably would be on the road a lot more than he is now. There are a lot of comics who make good living because they have a name and people will come to see them whenever they come to their towns.

Then there are some who make tons of money too.

So financially speaking, he might have been successful based on The Man Show, Loveline and his radio reputation.

But would he be "great" in the sense of being an entertainer or an artist? A lot of successful comics are not necessarily talented but they have a big following anyways.

Richard Pryor is widely acclaimed but he was probably not as successful as many comics who came after him.
